I hope everyone is doing well.
These past few months have been a blur of never-ending school work, countless hours of actual work ($$$), and a couple of vacations here and there. C came home from Australia in early March and we jetted off to North Carolina to spend some quality time together. We enjoyed the beach and warm weather so much that we decided to book a trip to Miami for my birthday. C surprised me by organizing a two day getaway to the Florida Keys to celebrate my special day. We stayed at the Casa Marina Resort & Spa which was absolutely phenomenal! Everything from the beautiful beach to our private lanai was extraordinary.
My favourite part of the resort was the beach-side hammocks. It was so relaxing to lie in them eating watermelon and listening to the waves. I might just have to get one for my backyard here in Montreal.
Besides spending time at the beautiful resort, we also took a stroll in town. Funny, every time we're in Key West we always say that we need to have a slice of Key Lime pie (like duh!), but we always end up filling up on ice cream and never get to the pie! Maybe next time...
I kept my outfits very casual and light for the entire trip because it was extremely hot. In these photos I'm wearing a pair of my favourite linen shorts and a simple white tank. You can't really see it in these photos but the shorts have the most adorable gold details.

Just a little F.Y.I.: In the next few weeks I'm going to be starting a new job so I'm expecting to do a few posts on how to dress business casual. I also expect to write an updated 'in my beauty bag' and share my new nail regime with you all! Excited to be back!
Stay tuned :)
