Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

I went to North Carolina.

It was absolutely beyond gorgeous and I want to live there. Forever.

All kidding aside, I spent the most beautiful week in the sun and sand with my beau. I couldn't have asked for a better little vacation from the real world. With school and work kicking my butt, and an unexpected twist to the holiday season, I was lucky to have been able to get away before the storm rolled in.

These photos were taken in Wilmington, North Carolina at Wrightsville Beach. There weren't too many people on the beach because let's face it, who is actually crazy enough to go for a dip in the Atlantic Ocean at the end of November... Besides Canadians?!

Fun Fact: Nicholas Sparks' books are mostly set in Wilmington, NC!

Wrightsville Beach had a bit of a Californian vibe, which we both adored. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful pier. Looking at it from a distance - like in the picture below- just blew us away. SO. BEAUTIFUL.

The soft sand and cool breeze were just what we needed after a hectic week of school visits & guest speakers. While C is finishing up his masters at UNC, I've got my eye on Duke University! He's not too hapy with my interest in his rival school, but I just can't help it... ;)
