Yesterday my family and I joined E's family to celebrate Orthodox Easter. It was refreshing to learn about the Greek Orthodox traditions and to share their happiness on this special occasion. We ate a ton of food, talked to no end, blew bubbles in the back yard, and played the traditional Easter 'egg' game.
It was really interesting to learn about a custom that is practiced, whereby Godparents give their Godchild shoes for Easter. I thought that this was a really cool concept because the shoes represent guidance toward the right path... I'll have to tell my fairy Godmother about this tradition :)
The weather was amazing, so I decided to wear my new floral denim pants with a breezy peplum top. I felt comfortable wearing this outfit because it was appropriate and fun.

In the next picture, I'm playing the traditional easter egg game with E's little cousin. The goal of the game is to be the last one standing with an un-cracked egg. Clearly, Alex won.
It's really nice when different cultures come together. I really enjoyed spending time with E's beautiful family.
