Yesterday was a beyond crazy day in the world of K.M.A. Since I had three three hour classes in a row, and no breaks in between, it was more than necessary to be extra comfy in order to endure nine consecutive hours of class. I decided I was going to be a bit of a hippy and put on a cool poncho style sweater and headed off to school.
I regularly shop in the Free People section at The Bay, and love picking out pieces that I wouldn't normally buy. This sweater is a prime example of something that is far from my regular style, but turned out to be one of the best (and most different) pieces in my closet.
The jeans, too, are a little bit out there for a preppy gal such as myself, but when I saw them at style exchange last year, they were much too hard to resist. I love the tie dye effect they have. What's even better about these jeans is the silver kiss shape "miss sixty" engraved button. They look super cool with a plain white tee.
I paired these two out of the ordinary pieces with Tiffany & Co. and Links of London rings, Pandora and This & That bracelets, and a pretty gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch. To complete the hippy look, I put on my studded Juicy Couture suede flats. Nothing says I'm not actually homeless like a fancy watch and few gold studs here and there!
My waking hours were spent waiting the ridiculously long lineup at the bookstore to purchase my books for the semester. Following that, I met with my babe for breakfast. It was really nice to catch up and swap all the crazy stories we had been saving! We took a little walk to the newly renovated Ritz Carlton, and it's stunning!
After the lovely couple of hours we spent together, I went to class and basically got out of there at bed time! Sweet life. At least all of my classes are super engaging and my teachers are wonderful.
