As I'm writing this post, I'm sitting in my grandmother's kitchen watching her and my mom fry grispelli, an Italian recipe, which has been around for centuries. It's thundering and pouring rain out and being in this tiny kitchen surrounded by my family who are talking (a little too loudly) and laughing, really is the only place in the world I want to be. It's such a beautiful sound.
Today is my last real day of vacation before I have to pack up and head home, so these are the last set of beach pictures you'll be seeing for a little while...
We headed to Terme Caronte this morning to check out the hot springs; then we went to the beach for a day of fun in the sun. When we headed out at around 9am it was scorching hot and super sunny! As we approached the beach, we could see that the weather was changing but it was still hot so we decided to stay. Soon, both our umbrella and beach towels were soaked in salt water as HUGE waves hit our area, one after another.
I wore a little light pink Talula dress which both my mom and Mary tell me looks like a nighty - but I don't care. The cotton is super soft, and I like being a little risqué... sometimes. I got it during my last trip to Toronto at Aritzia (my one and only love). I'm desperately waiting for the day that it comes to Montreal!
Well, I'm off to spend some time with the family! I'm definitely going to miss them when I leave this place!
