I know it's super late to be writing a birthday post, but I wanted to introduce my best friend Maria to the blog. She'll be studying in Barcelona this fall which means I won't see her until January (unless of course I go visit- fingers crossed!) Going to miss her tons!
A couple of months ago, we celebrated our 21st birthdays together, which was an unforgettable experience. We spent the day getting our hair and makeup done, slipped into our birthday outfits in the evening, and went out for a night on the town.
We wined and dined at Restaurant L'Academie surrounded by 18 of our closest girlfriends (and my brother). The food at L'Academie is awesome and reasonably priced! Pasta lovers absolutely must try the gnocchi gorgonzola. There are a few L'Academie locations in the Montreal area and you can find them all on the website which I linked above.
We ended our evening at KOKO Restaurant + Bar which is one of the most happening places in Montreal. The venue is extremely modern and filled with people between the ages of 21 and 35. What strikes me the most about KOKO is its exclusivity. It's virtually impossible to get into the place without table reservations. It's definitely worth the effort if you're a large group of people who just want to get together and have a good time.
To say my 21st birthday was special would be an understatement. Our 18 girlfriends and 30 friends who showed up at KOKO later in the evening made the night an unforgettable one.
