The past couple of days have been a mix of super boring yet really busy. Yesterday I started my day with a simple plan: the beach! While picking up some fresh bread and deli meats at the local supermarket, I ran into one of my favorite cousins. She and her husband were heading to the beach as well, so I joined them. Once there, three other of her siblings and their families met up with us that same day. What I thought would be a quiet day with Fifty Shades Freed, ended up being a loud & insane afternoon goofing around in the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea. We couldn't get enough of each other, so they decided to organize a late potluck dinner at their parent's place, my Zia Franca & Zio Antonio. They have six married children, who each have a number of kids of their own, so the house filled fast and the noise level reached decibels unfamiliar to me. After eating lots of amazing food and some time spent playing Twister with the kids, I headed home for a night of rest. Today, on the other hand, I did nothing! I'm convinced that people in Italy run on two speeds. Super high, or really low. There's no easy medium.
I spent a couple of hours in the city this evening checking out the end of summer sales. I wore a breezy aqua silk top and pretty high-waisted shorts. I picked up these shorts last summer at American Eagle and every time I tell people where I got them, they don't believe me. It's true. American Eagle. The city is incredibly hot so light fabrics are what I've been living in.
